Re-jet settings Chart
Below is a basic startup jet and needle setting for each type air kit verses most of the common pipes. These are not exact settings but a good starting point to a well tuned bike. All bikes and altitudes are different and yours may be one of them. We recommend using stock pilots. And so do the people at Dyno-Jet. The jet sizes are Mikuni and the items marked Not rec. means Not recommended, we are not saying they will not work just that the setup has not been determined or creates a lot of problems. If there is more that one size listed, that means you may have to try different jet sizes to see what works best for you. In that case, we've given you a range to try. This does not mean to use different size jets in your two carbs.

Instructions below for the "E" clip
If adjustable needle is used, the notches are counted from the blunt end of the needle. The “E” clip is installed the desired notch. More jetting info is available in the HC ,RAK, and GAK instructions.
Shimming needles
If you don't have adjustable needs, you can get the same results by using shims. Shimming the needle consists of adding #4 washers on each of the needles between the needle seat ( the black plastic thing) and the metal “E” clip. The “T” on the side of the stock needle is equal to the 4th notch on adjustable needles.
